Nice looking fan, installation issues
The fan is nice looking and very quiet. The installation was a problem. The provided woodscrews are soft metal and the philips head tore out almost immediately with the screws only partially installed. So I had to use drywall screws instead. The screws that mount the ceiling bracket to the fixture did not fit so I had to use other screws. Two of the three set screws that held the light to the ceiling fixture would not screw in since the holes were not threaded properly. I had to force these screws in to clear out the holes, so the screws really got tore up and I had to replace them with the screws from the old fan. Hunter needs to do a better job of quality control and use better screws. Please make sure all the screws fit in before trying to put it on the ceiling.

Beautiful and Quiet Ceiling Fan
This ceiling fan is a great addition to the updates we are making throughout our home. It replaced a shiny brass ceiling fan in the master bedroom and now the room has a much more up to date look. Going from a 4 light ceiling fan to 3 lights, I thought the room might be a bit dim but it is not at all. We keep the fan on all year long and it's very nice and quiet. I'm thrilled with this fan.

Just what I was looking for!

Just absolutely beautiful. I am looking at it now on my mantel and it is gorgeous. Looks much more expensive than what it is. It cast a soft amber glow and could be used with traditional or transitional decor. If you are on the fence about this item- go for it!

Pretty Cool
I bought this as a gift for a 23 year old that loves dolphins. The first one I bought from another vendor did not work and they were out of stock. Luckily, I saw it on Amazon, and ordered another one. It was here quickly and works! It is really blue light and this one has the black base as shown.

Not a sophisticated decor item but it is not really meant to be.

Excellent
It's a shame when a good product gets a 1 star rating because someone did not read the description. The first line in the product description "Single-light 24-inch reversible six-blade indoor ceiling fan for rooms up to 80 square feet (8 by 10 feet)"

I installed this in a small bedroom that is 8x10. Even though it is a very small fan it is still built very well and is quite heavy so make sure you use an electrical box rated for ceiling fans. There was quite a lot of assembly required putting all the little blades together, other than that installation was a breeze. The overall quality and appearance is better than I expected.

great for small room
I agree with the last reviewer, it is a shame such a great fan gets a bad review for not being suitable for a purpose it specifically states it isn't suitable for. This is great in my small den and gives decent air flow. It also looks great.

Hard to find this size fan. I had a small spot to put it in and I needed small blades. Works good for the size.

Good quality utility fixture
This is not a fancey homowner fixture. It is a basic industrial light source. They are much better built (thicker metal) than the cheaper made in Ch*** junk of similar design. Even though the listing states the unit comes with a T-12 magnetic ballast, the 4 I bought (and 3 a friend bought) came with combination T-12 & T-8 electronic ballasts, makeing them an exceptional deal.

Cheap and Nasty, but it works
A light in my garage went out, and this fixture was cheaper than replacing the ballast in the existing fixture. I thought, "how bad can it be?" Answer is . . . pretty bad. Very cheap construction and the parts did not fit together particularly well. No instructions were provided, but having done this several times that was not a real problem for me. The metal bends VERY easily, so be careful when installing it.

That being said, it does work, and so far no annoying hum.

If you want the cheapest alternative, this will work, but I would suggest spending a few dollars more (maybe $5) and getting something a bit better made. Halfway through installation, I considered replacing the ballast in the old fixture rather than installing this mess, but I was too lazy to deal with the delay and returning this fixture.
Buy local
The box was damaged, the light was bent and a few days later we saw the same fixture at Ace Hardware for less money.

College Bound -Lighting
This was a purchase for my college freshman. I was surprised to learn that the room they had- while very new and ranked highly on the college review boards only had one large wall light for the room they shared. Lots of window light but task lighting was non existent. This was purchased for her desk and I looked at many types of lights. She tends to be very sensitive to lighting and often prefers a dimmer environment to work in stating that the brighter light settings bother her. I chose this lamp because of the variability of settings and the slim design to maximize space. I also chose it to have the docking/charging station fo her phone as the constant looking for a charger means I may not be able to stay in touch! I was a bit concerned over the cost and buying sight unseen - sending to Boston from Texas. But.... She loves it! The lighting options were perfect and although the speaker for playing music is not optimal she loves the lamp. Pricey purchase-but perfect for her.

Nice LED table lamp. Love different shades and pretty bright when you are reading and studying.Stylish and folds well. The cons are i can't increase the length as it blocks my imac. The i phone charging doc is nice and you can listen to music but has no stereo effect and is not of good quality.
good and bad
The only thing is when I have my ifone hooked up and I want to change my pandora station or answer a text or check something on my phone the speaker quits. That is really annoying. FOr the price I expected better, however it is compact and the light is awesome and when the speaker is working it is perfect.

Beautiful and bright!
My husband and I finally settled on two of these lights for our 11' kitchen ceilings. We searched for months for a semi-flush light fixture that was affordable, would look nice in our home, and, most importantly, gave off sufficient light with three 100 watt bulbs. Nearly all of the lights that we liked only had three 60 watt bulbs. Once I found these on Amazon, we kept comparing all the other lights in the stores and online to these. I was uncomfortable paying so much for something that I had not examined in person, but we took a gamble since Amazon has a great return policy. Boy was I thrilled to see how nice they actually are! It took us a while to install them due to some construction and wiring issues in our 1928 home, but the problem was with our house, not the lights. Once we got everything worked out and the lights up, we couldn't believe how beautiful they looked. In new(er) construction, installation should be a breeze.
