Save Energy With Westinghouse Ceiling Fans

Ceiling fans can be an energy-saving, "green" addition to any home, adding more value than many homeowners realize. Most ceiling fans are very efficient, using only about as much power as a 100-watt light bulb. Used properly, ceiling fans can save you money in winter as well as summer: up to 10 percent in heating costs and up to 40 percent in air conditioning costs. And placement of a ceiling fan is important. Peak energy savings are realized by placing ceiling fan blades 10 to 12 inches below the ceiling and 7 to 9 feet above the floor.

Year-Round Comfort and Efficiency

For maximum energy savings as well as comfort throughout the four seasons, Westinghouse ceiling fans include a reversible switch that allows the ceiling fans to be used during cool or warm weather. In the summer, keep your home cool by running your ceiling fan counterclockwise. In the winter, run your ceiling fan clockwise to re-circulate warm air from the ceiling, eliminating cold spots and drafts.

With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.
You can trust this review, i hope you can try to buy this product and then you know this product good or no. Next time you can make a review for another people.

Had higher hopes
I researched fans for quite a while and after seeing the positive feedback on this one I purchased it. Once installed I was disappointed with the amount of air that the fan moved. I was also disappointed with the fact that you have to use the remote to turn the light on. We have Westinghouse fans at work and you can use the light switch on the wall independent of the remote to turn the light on and off. It is a hassle having to use the remote every time you walk in the room. Aside from that the fan looks great.

Perfect fans
We purchased two of these. Were were unhappy with the shipping delay coming directly from the factory instead of our usual Prime (it showed as Prime eligible when we bought them). However, once we received them, we were happy. Installation was easy. It took us a little time to install the first as we had never done a fan install but we had no problems. I do suggest you have a wire cutter/stripper handy but you can do with just a basic wire cutter. The units look great and we love the reversible blades. We use one color in our living room and the other color in our bedroom. The remotes work well but you may want to get some drywall anchors for the screws that attach the remote holder to the wall. My goal now is to find this same fan in a model that does not have remotes for the other rooms in the house. Definitely a good buy.
It's pretty but problematic.
The Westinghouse Lighting 7840000 Fairview Two-Light 52-Inch Reversible Five-Blade Indoor Ceiling Fan, Brushed Nickel with Frosted Glass Bowl is pretty but has proven to me to be problematic. The unit comes with (with no mention whatsoever in the ad)a remote control. But after assembling the unit, I have found out WHY Westinghouse doesn't advertise the would be convenient remote control. It is extremely difficult to set it up to have a good radio signal. After fighting the thing for a FEW HOURS, I gave up. It only worked for one night. The next day it quit altogether. I took one more college try...and now, back it goes. Also, the pan-style light cover creates a muddy yellow glow...not at all good for reading. Just saying.

But it's pretty!!

I would recommend staying away from this one. I gave it 2 stars, due to all my hastles, but it looks like a 4 star ceiling fan.
